If you remove the original display from the car the trip computer related data, the door statuses, and the digital air conditioning system may stop working. In the 307 the VAN data wires for the A/C are routed through the display. So obviously if you remove the display the circuit will be broken, which is pretty easy to fix.
Certainly not due a service any time soon as i have only covered 2500 miles and if it did require a service, the spanner would stay illuminated and not go away on start up. I have no warning lights, no messaged in the diagnostics of "fault report" page on the touch screen, just the infernal beeping.
Posted: Fri 20 Feb, 2009 8:04 pm: ive just got my peugeot 06 407 1.6 HDi with 92k on the clock. i was driving home when a warning came up on the lcd screen saying *Tyre pressure not monitored*
If the comfort control device detects a faulty licence-plate light it switches off all the lighting functions for the corresponding rear light. Once the licence-plate lightbulb has been replaced its rear light will also regain its function. This exact type of function monitoring and switching is present only on the CC variant of the 307.
Fix: I guess the battery is running low. When I start the car and stop it after a while, the screen works normally and shows daily or total mileage and oil status respectively, as stated in the manual. However, if I do not operate half contact several times, the economy will switch to mode and turn this screen off.
what does this display message mean "plip battery spent"?in a peugeot 307 brand, it shows when one is about to turn - Peugeot 2005 405 question. Search Fixya it is saying it needs to be replaced soon or it will not work so just replace the battery in the fob,
